To Members of the Private Sector Community:

The DHS Private Sector Office would like to share with you the following notice about changes to the National Response Plan:

“To our Federal, State, Tribal, local, private sector, and nongovernmental entity partners: The Department of Homeland Security is transmitting a Notice of Change to the National Response Plan (NRP). The Notice of Change is attached and is effective (i.e., modifies the NRP) immediately upon receipt. The Notice of Change identifies locations in the December 2004 version of the NRP where changes have been made. This Notice of Change will be followed later this year by an extensive review of the NRP, at which time the NRP will be reissued. We request your assistance in broadly distributing this Notice of Change, along with the attached NRP Quick Reference Guide, both within your agencies/organizations and to your partners. Thank you for your assistance in this important matter. Points of contact for questions about the Notice of Change are listed in the Notice.”

Should you wish to reference the original version of the National Response Plan, it can be accessed at http://www.dhs.gov/dhspublic/interapp/editorial/editorial_0566.xml.

If you have any questions to the proposed revisions, please follow the guidance outlined within the attachments. Your understanding of this situation is appreciated.
